Fun at the Pool

I recently got a chance to shoot some underwater footage with my new GoPro HD Hero. At first I was unsure of how the footage would turn out . I’m definitely impressed at the quality packed into this little camera. Most of this was shot at 720p and 60fps, then retimed in post. I also shot some 5mp stills (below). Thanks to Robby Joseph (a.k.a. Big Daddy), and his parents, for letting us utilize their swimming pool!
GoPro Surf Footage

I recently discovered this company and the product they make. I’m pretty floored at the quality that can be achieved for such a reasonable price. I’m really hoping I can get my hands on one of these in the future. I need to find something more hardcore to do with one though, based on all the sample footage from GoPro’s website.
Let’s Go Fly a Kite – Rebekah Angel

So my dad and I finished making a low budget dolly for his tripod today. We made it with PVC pipe and skateboard wheels. It works pretty decently, I just need to practice handling panning/focusing while moving it at the same time. As a test, I got my sister Rebekah to perform a song so I could play with the camera dollying. I shot this with my D90 with an old manual lens and synced up the audio from my M-Audio interface. I also utilized my dad’s new lighting kit.
