Dance for Love 2012

Homes of Love hosted its annual Dance for Love fundraising party again this weekend at The Square Room. I forget why, but I missed it last year, and was excited to be able to make it this time around. I was not disappointed. It was the best one yet. If you know nothing about Homes of Love, you should have a look at their website and see what they are all about.

Homes of Love works in Southeast Asia and Africa to establish and maintain loving, small, family-structured homes for orphaned and at-risk children. HOL seeks to reach children before they are trafficked, sexually exploited or put on the streets. We take a preventative approach to these problems common to vulnerable children. We are committed to the holistic, long-term care of these children until they become independent adults in their society.

Nicolas Ritter – One

This is a pretty brilliant idea. I would like to try this technique at some point.

the project » one «  focuses on the individual in a crowd. It particularly  imitates the way in which the human eye observes: not viewing  a crowd as a crowd, but observing little micro-scenes inside of it. all images are taken in london.

Watson-Hayes Wedding Video

May 26, 2012 – I had the privilege of shooting Troy and Lauren’s big day.

It was a beautiful wedding. I showed up in time to shoot some of the pre-ceremony preparations, which is always a great way to capture some of the lasting memories from the wedding day. I also had some invaluable help from my friend and colleague, Thomas Gentry.

Also spent a good deal of time with the packaging and printing of the DVDs. These DVD cases were custom crafted from textured paper and I printed each disc with a high quality inkjet printer. I shot the photography used in the packaging, and some of it was using still video frames (which worked surprisingly well).
