A great demonstration of musical talent took place at The Square Room here in Knoxville this evening. It’s really fun seeing these people getting better and better at what they do.

Cisco & Abra’s Engagement Session
Another fun photo shoot with good friends Cisco & Abra. They picked a great location in Hardin Valley. As always, Lacey was a great assistant.
Franqui Family Shoot
Another sweet photo shoot with another sweet family. My partner in crime, Lacey Thompson, is really quite excellent at posing people and working with them to get a very natural feel. This really frees me up to focus on getting the best captures I can, technically. I used a remote flash(Nikon SB-600 with cheapo flash trigger) for the indoor shots, bouncing it off of the ceiling or walls. I also used it as a fill for several of the outdoor shots, to fight the direct sunlight.
Definitely a cool blessing to work with my girl, and to work with such a fun client!
Dance for Love: 2011
Last year’s Dance for Love was a hit. This year’s is promising to be an even bigger event, taking place at The Square Room in Knoxville. The event is scheduled for December 17. You can should grab tickets here.
Cereus Bright + Art + Magic
November 4th. You’re going to want to be at Remedy Coffee in the old city. Cereus Bright (featuring my sister) will be performing. Scott Johnson will open the show, to be followed by Jordan Bernardini, the illusionist. Artwork and photography will be exhibited by some of Knoxville’s finest (if I do say so myself, and I do).
Exhibitors include:
- Brittany Fray
- David Angel (that’s me!!)
- Rebekah Angel (that’s another sister!)
- Erin Grimson
- Abbie Holt
I’m pumped about this for all sorts of reasons. It’s a bit of a family affair, and it looks like there will be a ton of inspiring work to peruse.
RSVP on Facebook.
